Auburn football continued its strong recruiting efforts over the weekend, focusing this time on special teams.
On Sunday, John Alan McGuire announced his commitment to the Tigers. McGuire was among several recruits visiting for Auburn’s Big Cat Weekend, where he received an offer and committed within just over 24 hours.
Entering his senior year at Thompson High School, McGuire is ranked as the second-best punter nationally and the top kicker or punter in Alabama by Kohl’s Kicking Camps. He is also rated as the No. 21 kicker in the country. McGuire is the first kicker or punter to commit to Auburn for the 2025 class.
