As the relationship between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce remains a widely discussed topic, curiosity surrounding the entire Kelce family has grown. With Travis and his brother Jason Kelce participating in the Super Bowl and co-hosting the popular podcast New Heights, combined with the ongoing romantic connection between the pop star and Kansas City Chiefs tight end, there is heightened interest in the Kelce family, including Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce. Kylie, the partner of the Philadelphia Eagles center, has now shared her perspective on the newfound attention and expressed that it is “not particularly [her] cup of tea.”
Understandably, Kylie Kelce is not enthusiastic about the spotlight on her family. In an interview with Spectrum News Kansas City before the Chiefs vs. Eagles game, she addressed the increased attention, stating that it is relatable given the current focus on the Kelce family. While Travis Kelce acknowledges that he has attracted attention to himself and is comfortable with it, he has also mentioned that the NFL may have been excessive in its coverage of him and Swift at times. However, for Kylie Kelce, who is not accustomed to such attention, she prefers to stay out of the limelight.
It’s not particularly my cup of tea to be in the spotlight or in front of the camera. I was a communication major in college, I love to be behind it. That’s my bread and butter.
This perspective is not new for Kylie Kelce, as she previously declined to be interviewed for Jason Kelce’s documentary, as explained on the brothers’ podcast, New Heights. Like many individuals, she simply does not enjoy being in the public eye. Nevertheless, despite her discomfort with the attention, she sees an opportunity to use it for a good cause, leveraging the spotlight for community events.
During the Kelce brothers’ game against each other in Kansas City, Kylie contributed to organizing a field hockey camp for kids, drawing on her college playing experience. In an interview with a local news outlet, she noted that the attention she receives has been beneficial in facilitating such community events. Despite it not being her preferred situation, she views it as an opportunity to make a positive impact.
But, at the end of the day, if it creates opportunities like this where we can leverage my network and figure out how to impact a community that has been so, so kind to the entire Kelce family, I’m so happy to be able to give back to Kansas City in this way.
As of now, there haven’t been public sightings of Taylor Swift and Kylie Kelce together. While Swift has been seen interacting with others at Chiefs games, she has not been spotted with Kylie or Jason Kelce. Taylor Swift’s ongoing project, The Eras Tour, is in its international leg, preventing her from attending the Kelce brothers’ recent game. However, with Swift soon taking a break, there may be a chance to see her spending time with Travis’ sister-in-law and brother. If that occurs, updates will be shared.
