Coach Dillingham officially names the Sun Devils’ starting quarterback for the 2024 season.

The quarterback battle between Sam Leavitt and Jeff Sims intensified during the scrimmage, but head coach Kenny Dillingham seemed more pleased with Leavitt’s performance than Sims’. Despite this, Dillingham has not yet announced the starting quarterback for the Sun Devils in the 2024 season.

Sam Leavitt Wants to Bring Consistency, Versatility in QB Battle

Aside from the quarterbacks, both the defensive backs and running backs had a strong showing on Saturday. With a noticeably improved offensive line, the running game looks to be a key strength for the 2024 Sun Devils.

Fan attendance was solid despite the team’s recent back-to-back 3-9 seasons. The Saturday scrimmage at Camp Tontozona offers fans a great chance to closely observe ASU’s football team and interact with players after the event.
