BREAKING NEWS: 4-Star Defensive Lineman Who Transferred from Alabama to Auburn Quashes Arrest Rumor Spread by Bitter Tide Fans

4-Star Defensive lineman Antonio Coleman has been a standout in his recruitment, having switched his commitment three times between rival schools. He first pledged to Alabama last September but soon changed his commitment to Auburn.

After a brief period, he re-committed to Alabama in March, influenced by Kalen DeBoer’s new coaching staff. However, he once again flipped, this time back to Auburn and Hugh Freeze. Shortly after this latest commitment, rumors of an arrest began to spread on social media.

Antonio Coleman shut the whispers down on Thursday

An arrest record for a man named Anthony Coleman began circulating on X earlier this week, leading some Tide fans to mistakenly believe it was related to the 4-Star Defensive prospect. However, the mugshot in question belonged to someone significantly older than the 17-year-old Antonio Coleman.

Auburn fans quickly identified the discrepancy, confirming that the arrest record did not involve the 4-Star Defensive lineman. Coleman addressed the false rumors this week, and Alabama fans may need to apologize for spreading the misinformation. This incident could potentially influence his decision if he was considering a return to the Crimson Tide.

Currently ranked 100th in 247 Sports’ recruit rankings, Coleman is also rated as the 10th-best player in Alabama and the 14th-best at his position. If Hugh Freeze can secure Coleman’s commitment, it would be a significant win for Auburn as they continue their rebuilding efforts.
