Paul Finebaum, one of America’s top college football analysts and a staunch supporter of the SEC and Alabama, often takes jabs at Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin on his radio show.
Kiffin, however, is feeling confident after leading the Rebels to a 2-0 start with dominant wins over Furman (76-0) and Middle Tennessee State (52-3). His quarterback, Jaxson Dart, has emerged as a top-five Heisman contender, racking up six touchdowns and 795 yards in these blowout victories.
Kiffin and Finebaum share a long history of trading barbs, with their most recent clash occurring at SEC Media Days. So, when Finebaum recently made an incorrect prediction, Kiffin couldn’t resist taking a jab at his radio rival.
This weekend, #5 Ole Miss will face Wake Forest in a game they are expected to win easily. In October, they have a tougher schedule with games at South Carolina, LSU, and at home against Oklahoma, followed by a showdown with #1 Georgia in Athens on November 9.
If Kiffin’s team falters at any point, you can expect Finebaum to fire back, and the phrase “What are you good at again?” could very well become the punchline of a future t-shirt.
