The USC Trojans are on a roll, starting the season 2-0 and gearing up for a big matchup against the Michigan Wolverines this weekend. The excitement around the program is at an all-time high, bringing a level of confidence not seen in years.
Recruits are definitely paying attention.
Floyd Boucard had a positive experience during his visit to USC in June and expressed strong interest in the program and Coach Henderson. According to Scott Schrader of WeAreSC.com, he could even have a private mentor in Aaron Donald. However, after visiting Oklahoma the following week and reflecting for a month, Boucard ultimately chose to commit to the Sooners in July.
USC Trojans Named Favorite To Land Floyd Boucard
After three weeks of the college football season, it appears Floyd Boucard has had a change of heart. On Monday, he decommitted from Oklahoma and reopened his recruitment.
Several teams, including Miami and Florida, are expected to pursue the 6’2.5″, 315-pound defensive lineman, but indications suggest that USC is currently in the lead. Scott Schrader even noted a strong likelihood for the Trojans to land Boucard.
As of now, USC has 19 commitments for the 2025 class, but they have yet to secure a commitment from an interior defensive lineman. This makes Boucard’s potential commitment even more significant.
The Trojans are also targeting other top defensive line recruits, such as Elijah Griffin and Jahkeem Stewart (who may reclassify to 2025), but adding Boucard would significantly boost their momentum.
Currently rated as a 3-star recruit by On3, many in the recruiting world believe Boucard’s rating could rise to a 4-star by the end of the fall season.
