Hilton has been sidelined for the first three games of the season due to a bone bruise in his ankle. Kelly indicated that the plan is for Hilton to gradually increase his playing time over the coming weeks.

Additionally, Kelly announced that senior defensive tackle Jalen Lee will miss the game due to a shoulder injury, while senior linebacker West Weeks is listed as questionable.

Redshirt sophomore safety Jordan Allen and sophomore edge rusher Da’Shawn Womack, who were both out last week against South Carolina, were not mentioned in the latest injury report.

In Hilton’s absence, LSU has leaned on redshirt sophomore Aaron Anderson, junior Zavion Thomas, and redshirt freshmen Kyle Parker and Shelton Sampson, alongside senior CJ Daniels and fifth-year senior Kyren Lacy at wide receiver. Despite Hilton’s absence, LSU’s offense has managed to average 33.3 points and 302.3 passing yards per game.
