BOOM: Coach Dillingham Expresses Excitement Over the Addition of Another Top-Rated Player

Arizona State football went 1-1 in Texas this season, but it added a second win when four-star quarterback Jake Fette committed to the program.

ASU head coach Kenny Dillingham traveled to El Paso shortly after the team’s Week 3 victory over Texas State to watch future recruit Fette lead his team to a dominant 62-6 win. Fette impressed by throwing for 229 yards and three touchdowns, completing 15 of 18 passes in front of Dillingham, according to MaxPreps.

Prospect of the Week: Del Valle HS Sophomore Quarterback Jake Fette

ASU has focused heavily on recruiting in Texas, promoting a “Texas to Tempe” theme across the coaching staff’s social media. Dillingham is enthusiastic about building a long-term connection with current ASU quarterback Sam Leavitt, but with the unpredictability of modern college football, the staff is ensuring there are other prospects in place.

Alongside Leavitt and walk-on freshman Navi Bruzon, who still have years of eligibility, ASU’s 2025 recruit Michael Tollefson has recently transferred from California to Phoenix to be closer to the program, attending several practices ahead of his spring enrollment.

Fette’s recent commitment strengthens the long-term depth at the quarterback position for ASU.
