Unstoppable Rise to Glory

The Colorado Buffaloes have captured the spotlight in college football, thanks to their rising stars on and off the field, including Travis Hunter.

The team has started the 2024 season strong with a 3-1 record. In Week 4, they secured a dramatic 38-31 overtime win against the Baylor Bears, highlighted by a last-second Hail Mary pass to LaJohntay Wester that forced overtime. In the extra period, Hunter sealed the victory by forcing a critical fumble at the goal line.

One of their key players received significant recognition, earning a spot on the Manning Award Stars of the Week, which honors the top quarterbacks in the nation. In the win over Baylor, he recorded 341 passing yards, two touchdowns, and a rushing score. He completed 25-of-41 passes and added 26 rushing yards. Other quarterbacks named alongside him include Luke Altymer (Illinois), Graham Mertz (Florida), and John Mateer (Washington State).

With 11 touchdowns and 1,340 passing yards so far this season, the Buffaloes’ quarterback has a 67.9% completion rate and just two interceptions. After back-to-back victories, the team will face an undefeated UCF Knights squad in Week 5, aiming to improve to 4-1.
