The Oregon State Beavers will be without at least one starter for Saturday’s rivalry game against the Oregon Ducks at Reser Stadium.
As the matchup in Corvallis approaches, here’s an overview of the Beavers’ players sidelined by injuries in recent weeks and how the team is managing their absences.
During his weekly press conference, Oregon State coach Trent Bray chose not to disclose specific details about the status of injured or absent players.
“We’ll find out more as the week progresses,” Bray stated.
OL Tyler Voltin— The starting right guard announced on Instagram that he will miss the rest of the 2024 season due to a torn ACL and MCL sustained during last week’s victory over San Diego State.
WR Darrius Clemons — The anticipated starting wide receiver has yet to play this season and was not in uniform for the road game against San Diego State. Clemons, a former four-star recruit from the 2022 class, transferred to OSU last offseason after spending his first two years at Michigan.
DB Noble Thomas Jr.— The starting nickel cornerback did not dress for last week’s win over San Diego State. He played 50 snaps at slot corner in the first week of the season.
DE Olu Omotosho — A key edge defender who was listed as a starting defensive end on the preseason depth chart, Omotosho was injured in the first quarter of the Week 1 game against Idaho State and did not play in Week 2.
DL Tygee Hill — Hill was absent for both of Oregon State’s first two games this season. Although not included on the preseason two-deep chart, he is a three-star recruit from the 2022 class who started his career at LSU.
