Confirmed: NC State Basketball Great Reaches Agreement with Knicks

NC State basketball alum TJ Warren has signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the New York Knicks for training camp, the team announced in a press release on Thursday.

Warren, a seasoned forward who recently turned 31, had a workout with the Sacramento Kings in September, but it didn’t result in a roster spot.

While there’s no assurance that the 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward’s time with the Knicks will extend beyond the preseason, the Exhibit 10 contract and his recent tryout with the Kings suggest there’s still interest in his potential as a professional player.

Last season, Warren averaged 3.7 points in 11 regular-season games with the Minnesota Timberwolves and made three playoff appearances.

Throughout his 10-year NBA career, which began after being selected 14th overall in the 2014 NBA Draft and winning ACC Player of the Year in 2013-14, Warren has played for four teams, averaging 14.3 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.
