Packers Officially Sign-up Top Starter in shocking move
The Green Bay Packers have promoted fullback Andrew Beck from the practice squad to the active roster for Week 6. This announcement was made on Saturday, making him available for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Beck has been elevated for the past two weeks, participating in three offensive snaps and five special teams snaps during last week’s victory over the Los Angeles Rams.
While the Packers list Beck as a fullback, he can also serve as a move tight end if needed. Luke Musgrave was placed on injured reserve on Friday, and although the team signed John FitzPatrick to replace him on the roster, he may not step into a significant role immediately. Beck was utilized as a blocker for three plays in the previous game.

Throughout his career, Beck has played in 67 games, recording 25 receptions for 214 yards and three touchdowns. Last season with the Houston Texans, he achieved personal bests of 13 catches and two touchdown receptions over 15 games. The Packers signed him to the practice squad on August 30.

The team did not elevate a cornerback, indicating that Jaire Alexander (questionable due to a groin issue) is likely ready to play on Sunday. Robert Rochell had been elevated or signed for the previous three weeks.
Each team can elevate up to two players from their practice squad weekly, with a limit of three elevations per player in a season. Beck has one elevation remaining and will return to the practice squad on Monday.
