Beavers Bolster Roster with Blockbuster Deal for Rivals Top Starter
Homecoming weekend is here in Corvallis, and OSU is eager to enhance its class of 2025 with several key recruits visiting campus for official visits.
After missing out on top prospect and Cal commit Jaron Keawe Sagapolutele, a 4-star quarterback, Oregon State has yet to extend another quarterback offer. However, that may soon change as they are set to welcome 3-star QB Tristan Ti’a from Pleasanton, CA, for his official visit.

Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 190 pounds, Ti’a has received offers from Boston College, UNLV, and Colorado State, but this will be his first official visit to Oregon State.
“I can’t really explain it; I’ve always liked the school, and their colors are a nice bonus. The stadium is also really appealing to me,” Ti’a said.
Alongside the schools that have already offered him, Ti’a is also considering Utah and Washington State. However, the Beavers have secured his first official visit, and he’s excited about the experience.
“I’m looking forward to being on campus and feeling the Oregon State love during my visit,” Ti’a shared with BeaverBlitz.
Ryan Gunderson and JR Moala are leading Ti’a’s recruitment for the Beavers, and he has built a solid relationship with Gunderson since their first meeting during his sophomore year.
“I met Gunderson when he visited my school, and he’s a great coach and person. I also got to know Coach Moala during an unofficial visit after a 7v7 tournament, and I really like him too!” Ti’a noted.
Ti’a has had an impressive start to his senior season at Amador Valley, completing nearly 80% of his passes with 19 touchdowns and just two interceptions. He averages 280 passing yards per game and has also rushed for 494 yards and nine touchdowns in only seven games.
The last Oregon State quarterback from Pleasanton, Sean Mannion, had a successful career, so Beaver fans might soon see another standout from the area donning the Black and Orange.
