Bears To Trade Sensational Top Starter Before Trade Deadline. The 2024 NFL Trade Deadline is just under two weeks away, and many Chicago Bears fans are eager for the team to make a bold move to strengthen their playoff ambitions.
Although the Bears have a 4-2 record, the trade deadline could hinge on the players they decide to let go from their 53-man roster.
In an overview of team statuses leading up to the deadline, Ian Rapoport from NFL Network revealed that two Bears players are currently on the trading block. The first player he noted is veteran right guard Nate Davis.
For the first time since he signed a three-year deal with the Bears before the 2023 season, Davis was a healthy inactive during last Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. With Larry Borom and Ryan Bates poised to return from injured reserve after the Bears’ bye week, the team will have sufficient depth on the offensive line to consider moving Davis.

Nate Davis and Khalil Herbert may be on the move
Along with Davis, Rapoport also mentioned running back Khalil Herbert. Earlier this week, Brad Biggs appeared to dismiss the notion of the Bears trading Herbert, citing the importance of maintaining depth at the running back position and his contributions on special teams. However, Biggs’s argument could weaken if Travis Homer returns from the finger injury that put him on IR earlier this season. His practice window is set to open this week, and if he starts practicing again, it could support the idea that Herbert might be traded.
