Gators Flip Top Prospect From Arkansas, The Florida Gators added their 12th commitment for the Class of 2025 on Monday by flipping top-ranked kicker Evan Noel from Arkansas. The 6-2, 155-pound kicker from Bay Saint Louis, Mississippi, made the decision to switch his commitment after visiting Gainesville earlier this fall. He confirmed his commitment on social media with a post saying, “Committed!!!! #gogators.”
Noel, who is widely regarded as the nation’s top kicker, had received an offer from Florida after attending a summer camp in Gainesville. This fall, he set a new Mississippi high school football record with an impressive 61-yard field goal. Beyond his role as a kicker, Noel also handles punting and kickoff duties for St. Stanislaus High School, showcasing his versatility and skill in all areas of special teams.
Noel is set to enroll at Florida in the summer of 2025, where he will likely spend his first year as a backup to current kicker Trey Smack, who has one more year of eligibility remaining. With his strong leg and all-around abilities, Noel is expected to be an important piece of the Gators’ special teams unit for years to come.
