Colorado Buffaloes Drop Jaw-Dropping NFL Trade Bombshell

The Dallas Cowboys have several areas to address on their roster, but some still question if Dak Prescott is truly a franchise quarterback. Fox SportsColin Cowherd proposed a bold and unexpected idea: the Cowboys should go after Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders, even if it means trading away star Micah Parsons. Cowherd also suggested bringing in Shedeur’s father, Deion Sanders, as the Cowboys’ new head coach.

“I’m telling you, if I were the Dallas Cowboys, I wouldn’t care about Dak’s new contract,” Cowherd said on the November 19, 2024, episode of The Herd. “I’d bring in Deion Sanders and draft Shedeur Sanders.”

“If I had to trade Micah Parsons and three first-round picks, I’d do it. You don’t turn around a team by playing it safe. You make big moves to get results.”

Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders Has Combined for 34 Touchdowns This Season

Shedeur Sanders has the potential to be the top quarterback taken in the 2025 NFL Draft, with a shot at being the No. 1 overall pick. Through his first 11 games, Sanders has racked up 3,488 passing yards, 30 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions, completing 73.4% of his passes. He’s also added 4 rushing touchdowns to his impressive stat line.

However, the Cowboys may have $240 million reasons to hold off on pursuing Sanders or any other quarterback. Dak Prescott recently signed a massive four-year, $240 million contract, which runs through the 2028 season. Given this, it’s unlikely the Cowboys will be making a quarterback change anytime soon.
