The Green Bay Packers could be on the verge of losing a key player to a close rival. Journalist Peter Panacy reports that starting center Josh Myers, currently a free agent, would be a great fit for the San Francisco 49ers. If Myers leaves, the Packers will need to make quick adjustments to their offense.
Currently sitting third in the NFC North with a 9-3 record, the Packers recently secured a 30-17 victory over the Miami Dolphins, thanks to two touchdowns from quarterback Jordan Love. Running back Josh Jacobs added a touchdown of his own, while Tucker Kraft contributed six receptions.
A former Ohio State standout, Myers is in his fourth year with the Packers, having started 11 games this season and played 51 career games. Green Bay seems prepared for his potential departure, having already invested in Jacob Monk, a former Duke University player.
If Myers heads to the 49ers, a fierce rival of the Packers, it could be a significant blow to Green Bay. Despite this, the Packers remain optimistic, riding a three-game winning streak into the rest of the season.
