Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 225 pounds, Johnson is ranked as the 108th-best player in the nation by 247Sports‘ composite rankings. He is a four-star prospect, the No. 7 linebacker, and the No. 4 overall player in Ohio.
With strong offers from Alabama, Ohio State, and Michigan, Ohio State is the clear favorite to secure his commitment, but new linebackers coach Mariano Sori-Marin is thoroughly evaluating him.
According to 247Sports, Johnson is the highest-ranked linebacker Minnesota has offered in the 2026 class. As a junior at Glenville High School in 2023, he recorded 121 total tackles, 24 tackles for loss, and seven sacks. While Minnesota’s chances of landing his commitment are slim, he remains a key player to watch in the upcoming recruiting cycle.
