Nebraska’s transfer class includes wide receivers Dane Key and Nyziah Hunter, two players who would likely have taken away some of Garcia-Castaneda’s playing time, possibly influencing his decision to leave.

Nebraska wrapped up the 2024 season with a 7-6 record, capped by a 20-15 victory over Boston College in the Pinstripe Bowl. Head coach Matt Rhule emphasized the importance of the win, noting how the experience would help the program moving forward, especially with young players gaining valuable postseason experience.
