Baltimore Ravens to Land Defensive star in 2025 Draft

The Baltimore Ravens find themselves in a favorable position this offseason. Their roster is already strong, but a few key additions could help push them to the top of the conference.

After a narrow loss to the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round, the Ravens know they’re on the brink of success, and adding a defensive asset could be the key to breaking through.

With eleven draft picks at their disposal, the team is in a good position to make strategic moves without needing a complete rebuild.

One potential move involves bringing back a familiar face. A veteran defensive player who had a strong season with the Ravens before moving on to another team, only to struggle in less favorable circumstances.

Currently on the Carolina Panthers—who are in a rebuilding phase—this player could be available for a trade at a reasonable cost.

The Ravens could use one of their fifth-round picks to reacquire him, boosting their pass rush without jeopardizing their long-term future.

Jadeveon Clowney, who recorded 9.5 sacks and 62 pressures during his time with Baltimore, proved to be a difference-maker on the defensive line.

Although his tenure with another team didn’t produce the expected results, his ability to generate pressure in Baltimore’s system highlighted his potential when surrounded by the right talent.

With his familiarity with the Ravens’ defense, Clowney could step in and make an immediate impact.

With the Ravens holding a wealth of draft picks and their focus on continuing to build a championship contender, targeting a player like Clowney with a late-round pick would be a win-win. It provides them with an experienced edge rusher while also addressing an important need without overloading their salary cap or sacrificing future draft assets.
