Clemson football has hired Lonnie Galloway, the former wide receivers coach at North Carolina, as one of its offensive analysts.
Galloway spent six seasons with the Tar Heels from 2019 to 2024. Initially serving as the wide receivers coach, he was promoted to assistant head coach in 2021 and passing game coordinator in 2023. Following the firing of Mack Brown, new head coach Bill Belichick brought in a new wide receivers coach for North Carolina.
Galloway, listed as a volunteer coach in the university’s directory, shared news of his new role on X (formerly Twitter) on Thursday. His coaching career dates back to 1996, with previous stops at Elon, East Carolina, Appalachian State, West Virginia, Wake Forest, and Louisville.
Throughout his career, Galloway has mentored 14 players who went on to play in the NFL, including nine wide receivers drafted since 2012.
At Clemson, Galloway will collaborate with wide receivers coach Tyler Grisham to help develop the team’s wide receivers, including Bryant Wesco Jr., T.J. Moore, transfer Tristan Smith, and 2025 recruits Marquise Henderson and Juju Preston.
