Clemson score 31 on 2024 All-ACC Academic Football Teams

The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) announced today that Clemson achieved a school-record 31 selections to the 2024 All-ACC Academic Team, ranking fourth in the conference and second among postseason teams.

In the past three years, Clemson has had 87 players named to the All-ACC Academic Team. Additional details from the ACC are provided below.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (theACC.com) – Wake Forest’s Taylor Morin, the 2024 Jim Tatum Award winner, leads the 2024 All-ACC Academic Football Team, which was revealed Friday by the league office.

Each of the 17 ACC Football member schools had players represented on the team. Duke led with 40 selections, followed by Stanford with 38, Wake Forest with 35, Clemson with 31, and Florida State with 30.

In addition to Morin receiving his fifth All-ACC Academic Team honor, Florida State’s Ryan Fitzgerald and Robert Scott Jr. each earned their fourth. Furthermore, 51 football student-athletes earned their third selection to the All-ACC Academic Team.

A total of 59 players on the All-ACC Academic Football Team also received all-conference recognition, including seven first-team, 11 second-team, nine third-team, and 32 honorable mention selections.

 

 

 

 

 

Five All-ACC Academic Team members were named 2024 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-Americans for the fall season: Elic Ayomanor of Stanford (first team), Bruno Fina of Duke (second team), Henry Freer of Georgia Tech (second team), Jonathan McGill of SMU (second team), and Craig Woodson of California (second team).

To be eligible for the All-ACC Academic Team, student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 GPA for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative GPA over their academic career. Additionally, they must have participated in at least 50% of their team’s contests during the season.
