Yes, the Los Angeles Rams are reportedly allowing quarterback Matthew Stafford to explore trade options.
Matthew Stafford, amid contract disputes and trade rumors, has reportedly been granted permission by the Rams to discuss potential opportunities with other NFL teams. NFL Insider Tom Pelissero shared this news during a guest appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, via X.

Tom Pelissero shared, “The Rams have been in talks with Stafford’s agent and have given him permission to explore trade possibilities with other teams to see what the potential terms might be if a trade happens. This addresses multiple aspects of the situation.”
Pelissero explained, “This helps determine what Stafford could get in a trade, as a new deal would be required. It also gives both the Rams and Stafford a chance to see if they can work out a contract to keep him in LA.”
Pelissero added, “If you’re trading for Stafford and it’s going to cost a significant pick, like a second-rounder, you’ll want to know how many years you’re getting him for. That’s why the Rams have allowed Stafford’s experienced agent, Jimmy Sexton, to explore what other teams are willing to offer.”
Stafford has two years remaining on his contract, with a cap hit of $49.67 million in 2025 and $53.67 million in 2026.
