California Top Talent locks in official visit with Minnesota Gophers

Sherman Oaks, Calif. 2026 wide receiver Luc Weaver announced on Saturday that he has confirmed an official visit with the Gophers during their annual ‘Summer Splash’ event, set for June 13-15.

Weaver, who stands 6-foot-3 and weighs 194 pounds, is considered a high-upside receiver prospect. He has additional official visits lined up with Utah and Kansas and has received top offers from UCLA, Nebraska, and Washington. Ranked as the No. 50 wide receiver in the country by 247Sports, he’s also the 33rd-best player in California but is unranked in their composite rankings.

As a junior at Notre Dame High School last season, he recorded 53 receptions for 1,024 yards and 10 touchdowns. With a strong senior year, he could quickly climb up the recruiting rankings.

Minnesota’s second ‘Summer Splash’ weekend now includes four players with Weaver becoming the second wide receiver to commit to an official visit, joining Rico Blassingame.
