Philadelphia Eagles White House Visit Rumors After Super Bowl Win

Earlier this week, reports suggested that Donald Trump might not invite the Philadelphia Eagles to the White House for the annual Super Bowl celebration. However, on Tuesday, Trump addressed these rumors and clarified the situation regarding the potential visit.

In a press conference, President Trump explained that invitations had not yet been sent to the Eagles but assured that they would be extended soon.

“We haven’t yet [invited Philly] but we will be,” Trump said, according to TMZ. “I thought it was a great performance by them. Absolutely they’ll be extended that invitation. They deserve to be down here. We hope to see ’em.”

There were also rumors circulating that the Eagles had met as a team and decided they would decline a potential invitation from Trump. This follows Trump rescinding an invitation to the Eagles after their Super Bowl 52 win, due to some players criticizing him on social media.

However, according to TMZ’s sources in Philadelphia, the team has yet to make a decision on whether they will accept the invitation.

It remains to be seen if the Eagles will visit the White House this time, but one thing is certain: the Eagles’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs earlier this month, which ended the Chiefs’ back-to-back championship reign, certainly earned them recognition.
