Minnesota Gophers to Land Colorado’s Finest to Elevate Roster

The Minnesota Golden Gophers are set to welcome Colorado linebacker Braylon Hodge for an unofficial visit in April, according to a Monday announcement from Hodge himself.

Hodge, a 6-foot-3, 212-pound standout from Cherry Creek High School, has garnered attention in his recruitment process, holding three scholarship offers from North Dakota, San Diego State, and Utah State so far. The Gophers’ interest in him is relatively new, with linebackers coach Mariano Sori-Marin exploring options to potentially broaden his linebacker roster.

At present, Minnesota has secured official visits from three linebacker prospects: Pierce Petersohn, a local talent from Dodge Center’s Triton High School in Minnesota; Duyon Forkpa Jr. from IMG Academy in Florida; and Angel Luciano from Steelton-Highspire in Pennsylvania.

During his junior season, Hodge notched 50 tackles, with four tackles for loss and one sack to his name.
