The Baltimore Ravens are parting ways with former Pittsburgh Steelers slot cornerback Arthur Maulet, according to several reports. Maulet had been serving as the Ravens’ nickel cornerback in running situations and was particularly known for his blitzing ability, a role similar to his time with the Steelers.

Maulet’s season was cut short after a calf injury in November that placed him on injured reserve. He only played in three games this past season, recording just five tackles. After the 2022 season, the Steelers released Maulet, and he signed with the Ravens that summer, working to secure a spot on their final roster. During his two years with the Steelers, Maulet played in a rotational role at slot cornerback and was mainly utilized as a blitzer.
In addition to his time with the Steelers, Maulet has also played for the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, and Indianapolis Colts. Now, he will look for a new opportunity, and with the Steelers’ current need at slot cornerback, a reunion could make sense.
