Zac Taylor facing a Vikings coach he had a confrontation with in previous matchup
Zac Taylor is generally not known for involving himself in confrontations, but during a 2020 game between the Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals, a brawl erupted that saw both head coaches, including the current Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores, actively participating.
Since then, under Flores, the Vikings’ defense has been performing exceptionally well, posing a challenging matchup for the Bengals, who have been on an upswing.
Reflecting on the 2020 brawl, it originated during a punt return when Mike Thomas collided with Jakeem Grant well before the ball’s arrival. This led to a charged confrontation between the Dolphins’ and Bengals’ sidelines, with Flores being among those who had to be restrained and pulled back to his own side.
Zac was uncharacteristically brief and tight-lipped about Brian Flores and the Vikings defense.

Such aggressive behavior is uncommon for a coach and is undesirable, as it can result in injuries and disrupt the game’s flow.
Hopefully, the upcoming game on Saturday remains relatively calm, allowing the Bengals to secure a victory, unlike their outcome in the 2020 matchup against Brian Flores.
