Philly Star sidelined for Sixers-Spurs showdown on Friday!
Tyrese Maxey (back/finger sprains) will stay sidelined as the Sixers take on the Spurs in San Antonio on Friday night, per the team’s initial injury report released Thursday.

Maxey initially tried to push through his finger sprain in late February and early March, but after taking a hard fall on March 3 and sustaining a back sprain, he has been sidelined ever since. His absence in San Antonio will mark his 10th straight missed game.
The last time the Sixers visited the Spurs, Maxey put on a show, dropping a career-high 52 points in a double-overtime thriller. He not only carried Philly to victory but also forced overtime with a clutch game-tying layup. That night was a breakout moment—not just for Maxey, but also for Ricky Council IV.
