Rams Selects Matthew Stafford’s Replacement in Latest Mock Draft!

It’s that time of year again for NFL mock drafts! Recently, ESPN’s Matt Miller has predicted that the Los Angeles Rams will focus on securing their future at quarterback, the most crucial position in football. In his latest mock draft, Miller projects the Rams to select Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart with the 26th overall pick in the first round.

“After waiting to see if Matthew Stafford would return for another season, the Rams must now plan for life after Stafford at quarterback. Dart is a precise passer on intermediate routes and has a surprisingly strong ability to throw deep,” Miller notes.

He also highlights Dart’s experience as a valuable asset. “Having started for the past three seasons at both Ole Miss and USC, he brings a lot of college experience to the table.” Over his career, Dart has thrown for 72 touchdowns and nearly 12,000 yards.

While many draft analysts agree that the 2025 quarterback class is underwhelming compared to last year’s strong group, there will still be teams eager to grab players like Dart, who are seen as borderline first-round talents. At 37, Stafford is nearing the end of his career, preparing for his 17th NFL season, making it a smart move for the Rams to plan for the future once their veteran quarterback steps away from the game.
