Breaking: Lamar Jackson Sues Fellow Pro Athlete!
The Baltimore Ravens are confident that as long as Lamar Jackson is their quarterback, they will have a strong chance to compete for a Super Bowl. Jackson has consistently proven himself as one of the NFL’s top quarterbacks. However, he is currently involved in a legal battle related to his jersey number.

Jackson, who trademarked “ERA8 by Lamar Jackson,” recently filed a legal claim to prevent Dale Earnhardt Jr. and JR Motorsports from using the No. 8 logo, which Jackson views as closely tied to his brand. He was concerned that if Earnhardt obtained a trademark for the number, it could confuse consumers. However, the filing lacked support, as Earnhardt and his team revealed they had already secured rights to a stylized version of the numeral based on Earnhardt’s time with Dale Earnhardt, Inc.
The legal dispute has sparked some backlash in the NASCAR community. RFK Racing took to social media to address the issue, posting images of their drivers’ cars, which bear the numbers 6 and 17, possibly in response to Jackson’s actions.
In other news, Dawn Turner has been named Senior Vice President of Brand Strategy, Marketing, and Communications at RFK Racing. With a background in both the NFL and NBA, Turner brings extensive experience to the team. RFK President Steve Newmark expressed excitement over her appointment, highlighting her success in enhancing brand identity, fan engagement, and marketing across major sports teams.
Turner’s talent and experience are expected to strengthen RFK’s marketing platform. Meanwhile, Jackson continues to perform on the field, recently celebrating a touchdown pass with teammate Ben Cleveland during a December 2024 game against the Houston Texans.
