Gophers Secure Kansas State Veteran Guard Brylee Glenn from Transfer Portal, School Announces Friday
Standing at 5-foot-11, Brylee Glenn posted averages of 6.3 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game, shooting 42.7% from the field, 31.6% from three, and 75.6% from the free-throw line during the 2023-24 season. She sat out the following season, opting to redshirt in a mutual decision with Kansas State’s coaching staff, unrelated to injury, per multiple sources. Glenn, who has one year of eligibility remaining, will join the Minnesota Golden Gophers for the 2025-26 season.
With 93 career starts over three seasons at Kansas State, Glenn is expected to serve as a reserve for the Gophers. She is poised to replace backup guard Alexsia Rose, who averaged 14.1 minutes per game last season but is now out of eligibility.
“We’re ecstatic to welcome Brylee to our Gopher women’s basketball program,” head coach Dawn Plitzuweit said in a statement. “She’s an exceptional student, a vibrant individual, and a fierce competitor. We’re eager to see how her skills enhance our team on both ends of the court.”
Minnesota boasts a deep backcourt, anchored by standouts Mara Braun and Amaya Battle, with Grace Grocholski and Tori McKinney offering flexibility at the shooting guard or small forward positions. Glenn is likely to back up Battle at point guard in the upcoming season.
With 13 players now projected for next season’s roster, the Gophers have filled most of their gaps. However, with Annika Stewart also out of eligibility, the team may still seek a backup frontcourt player through the transfer portal.
