Huskers Strike Gold in North Dakota with Elite Playmaker

North Dakota State running back CharMar Brown, currently in the transfer portal, is scheduled to visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers later this week, with a trip to Lincoln planned for Thursday.

Last season, Brown appeared in 16 games and rushed for 1,181 yards and 15 touchdowns, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. In the FCS National Championship game against Montana State, he tallied 77 yards and a touchdown on 17 carries, helping the Bisons to a 35-32 win.

Brown earned the Jerry Rice Award as the top freshman in the FCS, leading all first-year players in rushing yards, attempts, and touchdowns. The Omaha native became the first Bison running back in seven years to eclipse the 1,000-yard mark in a season.

A 2023 graduate of Creighton Prep High School, Brown rushed for 1,408 yards and 17 touchdowns as a senior. With only MAC and FCS offers at the time, he chose North Dakota State. He’s also expected to visit the Miami Hurricanes on Monday afternoon.
