Romano: Milan enquired about West Ham’s unequivocal response

AC Milan inquired about the possibility of acquiring Nayef Aguerd from West Ham United, but reportedly received a prompt and clear response, according to a report.

Milan has faced significant challenges in their central defense lately due to injuries, with Fikayo Tomori, Malick Thiaw, and Pierre Kalulu all sidelined with serious muscle injuries. The first reinforcement for Milan in the January transfer window is Matteo Gabbia, who has returned from his loan at Villarreal. However, it is anticipated that additional additions will be made by the management.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s social media update, Saudi clubs have expressed interest in West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd, a center-back. Sky Sports’ Dharmesh Sheth in the UK has also mentioned this development.

Romano further notes that both Roma and Milan have made inquiries, but a financial impediment exists as West Ham is unwilling to consider any loan arrangements. Additionally, Romano mentions that Aguerd is content with his life as a Premier League player, suggesting that persuading him to leave east London may prove challenging for any club, whether Italian or Saudi.
