Ophelia (AL) four-star defensive lineman Malik Autry, who is currently committed to the Auburn Tigers, had previously visited the University of Florida during the recent season when they played against Tennessee. However, he had visited Gainesville a few times prior to that particular trip. Autry made another visit to The Swamp last Saturday for a Junior Day event, providing him with the opportunity to interact with the new defensive line coach, Gerald Chatman, in person for the first time.
Autry shared his thoughts on the visit, expressing positivity about the experience. He mentioned that meeting Coach Chatman face-to-face was beneficial, especially since they had communicated over the phone before. Building a relationship with the new coach and reconnecting with other coaches was a highlight for Autry. Having not been to Gainesville since the season, he appreciated the chance to see some new aspects and thoroughly enjoyed his time during the visit.
