NFL franchises are currently focused on evaluating the talent in the 2024 NFL draft class and identifying prospects they want to target. Despite this, there is still a considerable number of NFL-caliber players in college football, particularly within the Georgia Bulldogs, as reported by ESPN’s Matt Miller. In his article highlighting the top prospects for the 2025 NFL draft, Miller identified six Bulldogs who stand out.
Georgia, under Kirby Smart’s leadership, has established itself as a premier destination for player development, evident in both the 2024 and 2025 draft classes. The list begins with quarterback Carson Beck, who, after an impressive debut season with the Bulldogs, opted to return for another year. Beck, finishing with the third-highest passing yards nationally, is considered one of the top three quarterback prospects for the upcoming draft.
Another notable Bulldog on Miller’s list is running back Trevor Etienne, a recent addition to the team through the transfer portal. With the departure of Edwards and Milton to the draft, Georgia secured Etienne from Florida to bolster their running back depth. Despite potentially only playing for one season, if Etienne becomes a top running back prospect, Georgia will be satisfied with the acquisition.
Among the offensive linemen, Dylan Fairchild, an offensive guard, gained recognition as a top interior offensive line prospect. Tate Ratledge, an experienced player, is also mentioned as a potential sleeper who could emerge as a top offensive line prospect.
Switching to the defensive side, defensive tackle Nazir Stackhouse’s inclusion in the list was expected, given his decision to return for another season despite previously having “top-50 buzz.” Safety Malaki Starks, labeled as a future first-rounder, is recognized as the top returning safety in college football.
Notably absent from Miller’s list is linebacker Smale Mondon, who surprised the Georgia community with his decision to return for a third season. Despite not being mentioned, Mondon is considered a sleeper and is expected to play a significant role in Georgia’s defense.
