One of the committed players for Georgia’s 2025 class, Tae Harris, has decided to decommit from the Bulldogs. The Cedartown safety had initially pledged to Georgia in June but cited decreased communication from the team over the months. Harris expressed gratitude to God and the UGA staff for the opportunities and efforts in recruiting him. In a post on X, he announced his decommitment, emphasizing that his recruitment is now completely open.
Harris acknowledged the support from former Georgia co-defensive coordinator Will Muschamp, who played a significant role in his recruitment. However, with changes in coaching staff and other programs showing increased interest, Harris decided to explore other options. Despite receiving offers from various schools, including Colorado, Florida, UCF, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Oklahoma, and Southern Cal, Harris made the decision to decommit.
Notably, Harris was absent from the Jan. 13 junior day, and his attendance in Athens on Jan. 3 became uncertain. Following his decommitment, Georgia’s 2025 class is now reduced to five commitments.
