Three members of the Vikings football team have received recognition from the Pro Football Writers of America, as the organization unveiled its All-NFL, All-NFC, All-AFC, and All-Rookie teams for the 2023 season. Wide receiver Jordan Addison and linebacker Ivan Pace Jr. secured spots on the All-Rookie team, while Danielle Hunter earned a place on the All-NFC team as an outside linebacker.
On the All-Rookie team, Addison, alongside the Rams’ Puka Nacua, represents the two wide receivers. Addison concluded the season as the third-highest rookie in receiving yards, trailing Nacua and Rashee Rice of the Chiefs. Impressively, he led rookie receivers with ten touchdown catches, showcasing a promising debut season as the 23rd overall pick.
Pace’s inclusion in the All-Rookie team is particularly noteworthy considering he went undrafted. As one of three linebackers on the team, alongside the Lions’ Jack Campbell and the Rams’ Byron Young, Pace played over 700 defensive snaps in his rookie season. He led all first-year off-ball linebackers in various categories, including PFF grade, tackles, pressures, and sacks, hinting at a potential long-term impact on the Vikings’ defense.
Turning to the All-NFC team, Hunter and Cowboys’ standout Micah Parsons were named as the two outside linebackers. Hunter had a standout season, achieving career highs with 16.5 sacks, 23 total tackles for loss, and four forced fumbles in 2023. However, it’s worth noting that Hunter is now an unrestricted free agent, adding an element of uncertainty to his future with the team.
