Breaking news: Indiana Football hires another sensational star

Indiana has secured commitments from two offensive linemen for the class of 2025. One of them, Evan Parker, declared his commitment to the Hoosiers on Monday, joining Matt Marek as part of Indiana’s recruiting class for 2025. Parker, hailing from Carmel High School in Indiana, stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 295 pounds. Notably, he served as a team captain and earned a spot on the Junior All-State team after the 2023 season.

Parker is recognized as a three-star recruit according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, ranking at No. 741 nationally, No. 59 among interior offensive linemen, and No. 12 among 2025 recruits from Indiana.

His decision to commit to Indiana followed his attendance at the Hoosiers’ Junior Day on Jan. 27. Despite receiving offers from various other universities, including Akron, Austin Peay, Ball State, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Colorado State, Illinois State, Kent State, Miami (Ohio), Toledo, and Western Michigan, Parker opted for Indiana. Additionally, schools like Notre Dame, Penn State, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Purdue, West Virginia, and Cincinnati showed interest in him.

Notably, Indiana had initially extended an offer to Parker under former head coach Tom Allen, and despite the coaching change to Curt Cignetti, the re-offer was made by Cignetti’s staff, which notably retained offensive line coach Bob Bostad.

The Hoosiers experienced losses from their offensive line, with starting center Zach Carpenter transferring to Miami, right guard Matthew Bedford to Oregon, and right tackle Kahlil Benson to Colorado. However, they retain left guard Mike Katic and left tackle Carter Smith from the previous season.
