Breaking news: Texas makes another signing to Steve Sarkisian’s support staff

During the recent National Signing Day in February, Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian announced his intention to bring in several new support staff members, prompted by the departure of Director of Player Personnel Billy Glasscock to the Ole Miss Rebels, alongside a series of promotions within the existing staff.

On Tuesday, Jackson Gleeson took to social media to announce his new role as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel for the offense, a newly established position complementing Brandon Harris’ role as General Manager.

Gleeson, originally from Mansfield and part of the 2018 recruiting class, was a three-star wide receiver prospect who ultimately chose Baylor over offers from other universities including Boise State, Houston, and Nebraska. During his time at Baylor, he played in eight games as a redshirt freshman in 2019, before graduating in 2021.

Following a year-long stint as a front office intern with the Frisco RoughRiders, Gleeson embarked on a Master’s program in Sport Management at Texas last fall. He began his tenure with the Texas football program as a Player Personnel assistant in January.
