Latest News: Jayden Daniels views on New England Patriots shows evident after 2024 draft claim

Jayden Daniels, the LSU quarterback, has taken to social media to refute speculations suggesting he is reluctant to be selected by the New England Patriots in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. The Patriots have faced challenges since Tom Brady’s departure for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020, notably struggling in the previous season with quarterbacks Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe, only securing a 4-13 record.

Contrastingly, Daniels showcased an impressive performance in the 2023 college football season, earning various accolades. He amassed 3,812 passing yards and 40 touchdowns while also rushing for 1,134 yards and 10 additional scores across 12 games. His outstanding achievements led him to become the third LSU player, following Billy Cannon and Joe Burrow, to claim the Heisman Trophy after guiding his team to a 9-3 record.

As one of the top quarterback prospects projected to be drafted early, alongside Caleb Williams and Drake Maye, Daniels holds significant interest for teams like the Patriots, who possess the third overall pick after the Chicago Bears and Washington Commanders. Despite rumors circulating about reservations within Daniels’ camp regarding the Patriots, Daniels personally dispelled them on Tuesday through a tweet featuring a cap emoji, indicating their falsity.

Additionally, Daniels’ agency, EAG Sports Management, dismissed these rumors earlier in the day via a tweet from CEO Denise White, asserting their excitement for Daniels to join any NFL team, debunking the speculation. With the NFL Draft looming next month, Daniels’ destination remains uncertain, although Washington is emerging as a potential landing spot, with Daniels gaining traction over presumed second overall pick Maye.

Jayden Daniels insists he doesn't care where he's drafted

Recently, NFL personality Rich Eisen reported from the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis that Daniels has surpassed Maye on numerous draft boards, positioning himself as the second-best quarterback prospect behind Williams. Eisen highlighted Daniels’ effectiveness in challenging defensive coordinators, particularly in the SEC, making him a formidable force on the field.

Daniels is set to showcase his talents at LSU’s Pro Day on March 29 in Baton Rouge, with his future in the NFL to be determined at the 2024 NFL Draft scheduled from April 25-27.
