Defensive lineman Clelin Ferrell is poised to become a part of Dan Quinn’s inaugural Commanders squad. According to multiple sources, Ferrell has reached an agreement with the NFC East franchise.
The deal spans one year and will see Ferrell in Washington. Formerly the fourth overall pick in 2019, Ferrell spent four seasons with the Raiders before joining the 49ers last year.
During his time with the Niners, he contributed 28 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 13 quarterback hits, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery, aiding the team in securing the top seed in the NFC. Additionally, the Commanders have secured agreements with defensive end Dorance Armstrong and linebacker Frankie Luvu as part of their efforts to bolster their defense in preparation for Quinn’s inaugural tenure as head coach.
