According to a report by FootballScoop’s John Brice, the Wisconsin Badgers have enlisted Eric Raisbeck, one of the top assistants in the FCS, to join their coaching staff as a special teams assistant. Originally hired by UC Davis as their special teams coordinator, Raisbeck, a Wisconsin native, has decided to return to his home state to work under Matt Mitchell, who serves as the outside linebackers coach and special teams coordinator.
Raisbeck brings a wealth of experience from various levels of college football, having worked in both Division II and Division III, and serving as a special teams assistant for programs such as the Utah State Aggies and Penn State Nittany Lions. Despite his recent appointment as UC Davis’s special teams head, he has opted to remain in the Big Ten conference.
His arrival coincides with a series of coaching changes within the Badgers’ staff this offseason, including five different position coaching adjustments. With Raisbeck’s addition, the Badgers’ coaching lineup now includes ten on-field coaches, alongside a complement of assistants ranging from analysts to quality control to graduate assistants.
