The New Orleans Saints might select another defensive tackle in the early rounds of the 2024 NFL Draft. Khalen Saunders, an experienced player, is expected to make significant contributions next season.
Over the weekend, Saunders made a humorous yet assertive post on social media.
Saunders, a member of the Saints’ defensive line, joked about joining the UFL, the latest football league, as a running back once he finishes his NFL career.

The UFL recently kicked off its inaugural season, starting to play in March 2024.
The league was created following the XFL–USFL merger.
Numerous thrilling and entertaining moments from the UFL have captivated audiences over the past week of action, demonstrating significant interest from football enthusiasts as former college and NFL athletes face off.
Considering his skill set, Saunders could emerge as a top running back choice in the UFL following his final season in the professional ranks. It’s likely he’d prefer to be utilized as a premier option in the red zone for his prospective team. Whether he’ll actually transition to this newly-established league post-NFL remains to be seen.
Saunders has previously been deployed in the backfield by the Saints, and his experience includes making receptions during his high school career.
