Liam McNeeley has made a move, transitioning from being an available recruit to joining the UConn Huskies, as reported by ESPN’s Jonathan Givony. This decision follows his decommitment from the Indiana Hoosiers earlier in March. Standing at 6-foot-7 and weighing 210 pounds, McNeeley, a McDonald’s All-American, hails from Montverde Academy in Florida.
He holds the 18th spot in the 247 Sports Composite rankings and is praised by 247’s Brandon Jenkins for his consistent and dependable performance on the court.

Despite initial interest from Kentucky, particularly during John Calipari’s tenure, McNeeley’s path led him to UConn. Mark Pope, the new head coach at Kentucky, also expressed interest in McNeeley, but plans for a visit didn’t materialize. Interestingly, during McNeeley’s visit to UConn, the university announced a home-and-home series with the Texas Longhorns, which aligns with McNeeley’s Texas roots.
