USC football extended a transfer portal offer to Isaiah Jatta, a former offensive tackle from Colorado, last Friday. Jatta, who played for the Buffaloes in 2023 after transferring from a junior college, has one season of eligibility remaining. Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 310 pounds, Jatta saw action in 11 games for Colorado last season, primarily on special teams.
Although he started one game at left tackle against UCLA, he struggled, allowing four pressures. In 2022, he was named a NJCAA First Team All-American while playing for Snow College, receiving offers from several schools including Auburn, South Carolina, and Oklahoma State.
USC is in need of offensive line reinforcements, particularly at both interior and tackle positions. Currently, the Trojans have a young lineup with redshirt freshman Elijah Paige at left tackle and redshirt junior Mason Murphy at right tackle. Recently, they also showed interest in Liberty offensive tackle Chase Mitchell.
In addition to Jatta, USC has secured commitments from five other transfer players this spring: Greedy Vance Jr. from Florida State, wide receiver Kyle Ford from UCLA, wide receiver Jay Fair from Auburn, Michael Lantz from Georgia Southern, and punter Cameron Shirangi from Hawaii.
