Michigan football has been successful in recruiting players from St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, and they’re now pursuing another standout prospect from the school in highly-ranked cornerback Blake Woodby.
Woodby, rated 67th overall in the 2025 class by the 247 Sports composite rankings, stands at 5-foot-10, weighing 175 pounds. Previously committed to Ohio State, Woodby recently decided to reopen his recruitment, possibly due to the crowded cornerback class at Ohio State. This decision has sparked interest from various teams, including Michigan.
Recent reports indicate that Michigan, led by secondary coach Lamar Morgan, has been actively reaching out to Woodby on a daily basis, demonstrating their keen interest in the talented defensive back. Auburn and Florida have also joined the race by extending offers to Woodby, but his recruitment remains wide open. Despite receiving offers from several major programs prior to committing to Ohio State, Woodby has yet to visit Michigan or any other campus apart from Ohio State and Auburn.
With his recruitment still in flux, Michigan aims to secure a visit from Woodby, recognizing the value of adding a top-100 talent to their roster, particularly one motivated to compete against Ohio State.
