BREAKING NEWS: 2024 NCAA Division I baseball championship bracket announced

INDIANAPOLIS – Today, the NCAA Division I Baseball Committee unveiled the lineup of 64 teams vying for the 2024 NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.

The top 16 national seeds are as follows: Tennessee (50-11), Kentucky (40-14), Texas A&M (44-13), North Carolina (42-13), Arkansas (43-14), Clemson (41-14), Georgia (39-15), Florida St. (42-15), Oklahoma (37-19), NC State (33-20), Oklahoma St. (40-17), Virginia (41-15), Arizona (36-21), UC Santa Barbara (42-12), Oregon St. (42-14), and East Carolina (43-15).

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) leads with a remarkable 11 teams from the conference, setting a new record. Following behind, the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) boasts eight teams, trailed by the Big 12 with six, the Sun Belt with four, the Big Ten and Pac-12 with three each. Additionally, the American Athletic, Big East, Big West, Conference USA, and Missouri Valley all contribute two teams each to the lineup.

Noteworthy newcomers making their inaugural appearances in the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship include High Point, Niagara, and Northern Kentucky, while Evansville returns for the first time since 2006.

Vanderbilt maintains the longest active streak with its 18th consecutive appearance, with other notable streaks belonging to Florida (16), LSU (12), Oklahoma State (11), and DBU (10).

The selection of the eight super regional hosts will be disclosed on www.NCAA.com/mcws on Tuesday, June 4 at 10 a.m. ET. The Men’s College World Series commences on Friday, June 14, at Charles Schwab Field Omaha in Omaha, Nebraska.
