JUST IN: Louisville receive three-star prospect from Male High School

Defensive back Antonio Harris, a coveted recruit by the UofL coaching staff, has pledged his commitment to the Cardinals during his official visit last weekend. The 6-foot, 170-pound cornerback, rated as a three-star prospect, marks the 10th addition to Louisville’s 2025 recruiting class. Hailing from Louisville Male High, Harris follows the footsteps of his father, former UofL linebacker Nate Harris, and uncle, former UofL running back Doug Beaumont, further solidifying his ties to the program.

Joining fellow in-state commits Gradey Anthony and Dillon Smith, Harris opted for Louisville despite competing offers from several other universities, including Indiana, Kentucky, and Purdue.

Throughout the recruitment process, UofL maintained a strong interest in Harris, with coaches like Chris Barclay, an alum of Male High, actively engaging with him. Harris’ familiarity with the program was evident, having been on the radar of the coaching staff since his underclassman years and participating in events like the program’s Junior Day.

On the field, Harris boasts impressive stats, tallying 15 tackles and two interceptions as a junior, while also showcasing his offensive prowess with 25 receptions for 620 yards and 11 touchdowns. His commitment adds to Louisville’s recent recruiting momentum, with four prospects, including LeBron Hill, Caleb Matelau, and Jaylin Brown, all opting for the Cardinals following their official visits in late May to early June.
