JUST IN: Mississippi State guard officially signs with Kansas

Shakeel “Shak” Moore, formerly of Mississippi State, has officially committed to playing for Kansas for the 2024-25 season, as announced by KU coach Bill Self. Moore, a seasoned fifth-year senior hailing from Greensboro, North Carolina, brings a wealth of experience to the Jayhawks. Having played 124 games throughout his college career, Moore is known for his versatility as a combo guard who can effectively play both on and off the ball. His athleticism and maturity are seen as valuable assets to the team.

During his time at Mississippi State, Moore showcased his skills on both ends of the court, earning recognition on the Naismith Defensive Player of the Year Watch List in the 2022-23 season. His offensive contributions were also notable, with consistent scoring performances, including a season-high 16 points against Murray State in December 2023.
